Purpose of the Role:

As an Industrial Cleaner at Koko Black, you will be responsible for leading sanitation and equipment requirements in our manufacturing facility. You will also support general cleaning across production, warehouse, and office areas.

We are seeking two skilled individuals to join our Day Shift team, operating Monday to Friday, 07:00am - 03:00pm. The shifts are as follows: 07:00am - 03:00pm and 09:00am - 05:00pm.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain a clean and hygienic environment in manufacturing areas, tools, and equipment.
  • Ensure par levels of consumable items in manufacturing are maintained.
  • Keep scullery kitchen cleanliness, stock, and equipment up to standard.
  • Monitor and maintain par levels of cleaning chemicals for manufacturing.
  • Rotate chocolate moulds in and out of manufacturing as required.
  • Assist with raw material and packaging put-away in manufacturing.
  • Contribute to filling of chocolate tanks.
  • Perform deep cleans of specific equipment or areas when necessary.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Support the cleaning of warehouse, office, and staff break areas as required.
  • Replenish and clean bathrooms as needed.
  • Assist with cleaning after staff events on site, such as morning teas/team meetings as required.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • A strong sense of purpose and urgency is essential.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Previous experience cleaning in a food manufacturing environment.
  • Personable and approachable demeanor.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing equipment operation and facility layout.

We estimate this role to have a salary range of AU$55,000 - AU$65,000 per annum, based on Australian market standards.
