About the Job

We are currently seeking an experienced and motivated Social Care Coordinator to join our team at one of our facilities. This position is on a permanent full-time basis. We're looking for someone who has excellent communication skills, is highly organised, and has a knack for problem-solving.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Program Implementation: Oversee the implementation of resident-focused therapy, social, and recreational activities.
  • Team Management: Manage the social care staff and volunteers to ensure they are aware of their policy, legislative, and other relevant compliance obligations.
  • Community Liaison: Foster and promote social connectedness by actively engaging and liaising with local communities, community groups, schools, and sporting organisations.
  • Facilitation: Facilitate resident meetings and encourage participation in planning and program development.
  • Inventory Management: Maintain social care inventory and other resources, controlling stock and undertaking periodic audits as required.

Requirements:

  • Certificate IV Qualification in Leisure and Lifestyle or similar discipline.
  • Current National Police Certificate (or ability to acquire).
  • Current Driver's License.
  • Proficient computer systems and information management skills.
  • First Aid Certificate.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A genuine interest in working in aged care.
  • Well-developed customer service skills.
  • The ability to lead and organise the social care team and volunteers.
  • An ability to communicate with a diverse range of people.
