
Cyber Security Industry Lead

**About the Role**
We are seeking a motivated individual to lead our Critical Technologies Team. This team is responsible for developing policies, programs and initiatives to increase the state's research and development capability and capacity in critical technologies (including artificial intelligence, machine learning, photonics, quantum technologies) and that facilitates industry awareness and adoption.
The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of cyber security concepts, threats and vulnerabilities and economic growth opportunities for South Australia's cyber security industry.
The role involves implementing and coordinating programs, projects and services which facilitate growth of the cyber security industry in South Australia and foster collaboration between Government, industry and academia.
This position requires strategic leadership and management skills to develop and implement forward thinking strategies for the cyber security industry and deliver key initiatives from the Cyber Security Industry Development Workplan, ensuring alignment to the national 2023-2030 Australian Cyber Security Strategy.
Key responsibilities include:
- Developing and implementing innovative programs and initiatives to drive growth in the cyber security industry
- Fostering collaboration between government, industry and academia to advance the cyber security sector
- Leading the development and delivery of the Cyber Security Industry Development Workplan
**Required Skills and Qualifications:**
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Extensive and contemporary knowledge of cyber security concepts, threats and vulnerabilities
- Knowledge of government policy development, governance, decision-making, management and accountability systems and processes
- Experience strategically leading and managing the development, delivery and evaluation of programs, projects and services which engage and promote innovation and growth within the cyber security industry
