About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to join our team as a Kindergarten Assistant. As a key member of our educational community, you will play a vital role in supporting kindergarten teachers and students in their learning journey.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with classroom activities, including lesson preparation and resource organisation
  • Provide one-on-one or small group support to students, including students with additional needs
  • Monitor student progress and behaviour, providing feedback to teachers
  • Assist with administrative tasks, such as record-keeping and organising educational materials
Requirements
  • A minimum of a Certificate III in Children's Services or equivalent (ACECQA approved qualifications)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • The ability to maintain high levels of confidentiality in dealing with young people and their needs
  • The ability to work well either individually or collaboratively in a team and to accept direction and support
  • Genuine care for the wellbeing of students
  • Adaptability and flexibility in a dynamic educational setting

Mandatory Requirements
  • A current valid Blue Card under the Working with Children (Risk Management and Screening) Act 2000 (WWC Act) and valid Suitability Notice is a requirement of the position
  • A minimum Cert III in Children's Services (or working towards) or equivalent is required. A Diploma in Children's Services or equivalent (ACECQA approved qualifications) is preferred
  • First Aid Certificate, CPR, Anaphylaxis & Asthma Training (ACECQA approved)
  • Ability to perform the physical requirements of the role in a safe manner
