WorkPac is seeking an experienced Court Advisor to join the State Agreements and Approvals team within Rio Tinto.

This role will assist in ensuring land tenure, operations, assets, and infrastructure are protected to support the continued operation and growth of Rio Tinto's business in WA.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent administrative skills, with experience working within a strict regulatory or compliance environment.

About the Role:

  • Assist in the identification, preparation, and lodgement of relevant objections to protect Rio Tinto's tenure and infrastructure portfolio.
  • Ensure compliance obligations are met within regulatory timeframes, including the preparation and lodgement of statutory documents and correspondence.
  • Maintain the Wardens Court obligations database, monitoring and recording compliance within relevant deadlines and prepare weekly & monthly reports.
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Manage relationships with RTIO technical and support staff to ensure timely receipt of support documentation.
  • Perform general administration duties, including document control, coordinating meetings, and taking minutes.

Responsibilities:

  1. Comply with all HSEQ systems, chairing and contributing to team and safety meetings.
  2. Assist in the preparation of reports and documents as required.
  3. Develop and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders.

Essential Requirements:

  • Experience working with the Western Australian Mining Act, Land Administration Act, or State Agreement Act or associated processes.
  • High level of attention to detail with proven experience in a role where accuracy and timelines are paramount.
  • Flexible and adaptive approach to fluctuating workloads.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
