About the Role

GenesisCare is seeking a highly skilled Medical Physics Specialist to join our team in Darlinghurst.

As a Medical Physics Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and quality of clinical/non-clinical medical radiation equipment. Your primary areas of responsibility and activity will be agreed in consultation with the Chief Physicist.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing specialist advice in the technical and scientific aspects of radiotherapy delivery and treatment planning.
  • Independently performing highly accurate routine and non-routine dosimetry and geometric quality assurance measurements.
  • Collecting, processing and analysing radiation beam data from radiotherapy equipment for entry into treatment planning systems.

Key qualifications and skills include:

  • Certified in Radiation Oncology Medical Physics (ACPSEM, IPEM, HCPC, ABR, ABMP, CCPM, IMPCB).
  • A clear communicator with strong interpersonal skills.
  • Great time-management skills enabling you to manage your assigned tasks and achieving quality outcomes.
  • A problem-solving, solution-focused, pro-active mindset.
