Audit Manager Job Description

The audit lead plays a critical role in ensuring the quality and integrity of global audit methodology. This includes thorough quality control, upholding company values, and maintaining productive relationships with clients and team members.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Lead an audit team to complete tasks in a timely manner within scope.
  • Manage audit assignments from planning through to finalisation of reports in line with agreed timelines.
  • Maintain control and stability under pressure while recognising deadlines or urgency.
  • Assist and advise on the formulation of audit strategy and planning.
  • Act as a point of contact for senior management and clients, responding to their needs.
  • Contribute to business development by working with colleagues in other teams and building strong working relationships with clients.
  • Engage in people management, including coaching, feedback, performance management, training, and development, focusing on high-performing teams.
Requirements:
  • Minimum Degree in Finance/Accounting or relevant field.
  • Qualified accountant (MIA/ACCA/CPA Australia or equivalent).
  • 5-8 years of relevant experience, demonstrating success in adapting to a work environment.
  • Team player with strong relationship management ability, business development experience, and technical expertise.
  • Excellent communication and people management skills.
  • Functional knowledge of Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
