About the Role
  • This is a unique opportunity to work at the intersection of autism and employment, using your expertise to bridge the gap between individuals on the autism spectrum and their employers.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in human sciences and a proven track record of supporting autistic individuals in the workplace. You'll be responsible for providing person-centred support, mentoring, and advocacy to empower individuals to achieve their employment goals.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Provide direct on-site support to individuals on the autism spectrum, working closely with them to understand their needs and develop strategies for success.
  2. Deliver training and coaching to technical staff and trainers, ensuring they have the skills and knowledge needed to support autistic employees effectively.

You'll also be involved in developing and delivering autism awareness training programs for employers, managers, and employees, as well as running workshops to assess suitable candidates for open roles.

Requirements
  • Tertiary qualifications in a relevant human sciences discipline or equivalent life/career experience.
  • A strength-based approach to supporting autistic individuals in the workplace.
  • Experience in person-centred planning and approaches.
