The Royal Flying Doctor Service of Victoria offers high-quality non-emergency patient care services, complementing our air and road transport with a range of primary health services.

Our services address common issues people in rural and remote communities face when accessing healthcare, helping to overcome distance, enable people to receive care in their own community, and support people to take control of their own health.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform patient assessments and provide high-quality patient care and treatment during on-road transport.
  • Develop and maintain positive working relationships with patients and stakeholders.
  • Assess the effectiveness of interventions in accordance with RFDS MPC guidelines, NEPT regulations, and within the prescribed scope of practice.

Requirements

  • Diploma of Paramedical Science (Ambulance) or equivalent qualification.
  • Evidence of successful completion of clinical placements and a Clinical Skills Assessment.
  • Registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (for Registered Nurses). Completion of an appropriate bridging course for practice in the non-emergency patient transport sector.

Mandatory Vaccinations
