Senior Communications Advisor

Are you an experienced communications professional with a passion for developing and maintaining strategic partnerships? We are seeking a Senior Communications Advisor to join our team in Brisbane.

About the Role:

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced communications professional who can develop and deliver effective communications strategies that promote and protect our strategic themes and positioning. This role involves developing quality content, building trusted relationships with stakeholders, and providing strategic communications advice to achieve key business needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver day-to-day employee and stakeholder communications with a strong editorial focus.
  • Clearly articulate and align all communications to our communications narrative and strategy.
  • Develop compelling content on key company issues such as safety, climate change, inclusion and diversity, indigenous engagement, operational performance, and more.
  • Have a strong understanding of various channel strategies and work across the team to maximise content distribution.
  • Effective and experienced business partner for key internal stakeholders.
  • Provide strategic communications advice and develop effective strategies to achieve key business needs.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Excellent written skills across all channels.
  • Strong understanding of digital tools and platforms, both internal and external.
  • Capability with video production and photography.
  • Effective business partnering skills and experience.
  • Strong project/time management skills.
  • Ability to collaborate and build strong networks across the company.
  • Issues and stakeholder management experience at all levels.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and quality-control.
