Position Overview :

The Heavy Equipment Operator Specialist is responsible for operating heavy plant and equipment to complete tasks efficiently. The role must adhere to our company's safety plans and procedures as well as client requirements. The position also involves ensuring all equipment is well-maintained and in good condition to prevent breakdowns and stoppages. It requires performing routine and preventative maintenance on buildings, mechanical equipment, and utility systems.

Key Requirements :

  • Experience in proficiently operating various types of heavy equipment
  • Knowledge of the industry with experience running excavation equipment
  • Proficient use of Apple devices, iPhones, iPads, and Microsoft Excel spreadsheets
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work systematically to avoid errors
  • Persistent approach to time management
  • High levels of enthusiasm, energy, and resourcefulness
  • Excellent planning and organisational abilities
  • Strong attention to detail

Job Responsibilities :

  • Maintenance and repair of buildings and equipment
  • Scheduled preventive maintenance on building mechanical equipment
  • Repair or replacement of broken parts
  • Calibration and repair of systems
  • Daily, weekly, and monthly checklists on building equipment maintenance procedures
  • Record-keeping of scheduled maintenance procedures
  • Operating computer systems controlling and monitoring mechanical equipment
  • Assisting with construction or remodeling projects
  • Maintenance of premises and grounds
  • Inspecting premises for hazardous conditions
  • Any other duties required

Salary and Benefits :

The estimated salary for this role is $85,000 - $110,000 AUD per annum, depending on experience.
