We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Chef to join our team at MannaCare, a leading not-for-profit organisation providing residential, community, and in-home aged care services. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality, nutritionally balanced food to our residents, menu planning, food preparation, and ensuring compliance with OHS and food safety standards.

About the Role

  • Lead a team of kitchen staff and provide day-to-day supervision
  • Develop and implement menu plans that meet the dietary needs of our residents
  • Ensure compliance with OHS and food safety standards
  • Collaborate with other departments to provide a high-quality food service

Requirements

  • Diploma in Commercial Cookery
  • Food Safety Supervisor course (or equivalent)
  • Experience in menu planning, food preparation, and kitchen services in Aged Care
  • Demonstrated ability to lead a team and manage a kitchen
  • Ability to communicate effectively in written and spoken English
  • Understanding of and ability to support compliance with OH&S and Residential Aged Care Standards
  • Familiarity with basic computer programs - Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel
  • Catering experience in a health service
  • Current NDIS screener check
  • COVID Vaccination or valid medical exemption
