Lead Business Intelligence Solutions Developer

We are excited to announce an exceptional chance to join our Commercial team in Melbourne as a Senior Commercial Business Intelligence Analyst for the South West Pacific region.
This role is part of a high-performing team responsible for supporting the development, planning, and implementation of the commercial strategy, providing business analytics to maximize revenue, profit generation across the region, and ensuring achievement of budget targets.
Your primary responsibility will be to transform data into actionable insights, driving conversations with stakeholders to support effective business decision-making and drive sales for all commercial functions across the region.

Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze traffic segments, Origin-Destination pairs, distribution channels, and travel agencies to drive QR market share and revenue goals.
- Interpret and analyze large sets of data on assigned portfolios and make recommendations to improve our commercial strategy.
- Identify market opportunities through internal and external analysis and initiate proposals to generate incremental revenue.
- Provide commentary on performance against KPIs such as market share and revenue performance under assigned portfolios.
- Lead discussions with internal stakeholders, including Sales, Marketing, Revenue Management, and Network Planning teams, to drive tactical and structural initiatives.
- Monitor performance of fare products, sales incentives, and commercial initiatives.
- Develop business cases to support recommendations on commercial product/policy changes to improve portfolio performance.
- Collaborate with Global CBI and Revenue Management, as well as other data stakeholders, to enhance the data processing flow and adoption by regional CBI and sales teams.
- Support management in formulating commercial strategy and plans, as well as ad-hoc commercial studies/projects when required.
About You:
To succeed in this role, you will possess a strong commercial acumen and analytical mindset. You should have a degree in Business, Economics, Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics, or Operations Research, along with 3 years of practical experience in Commercial and/or Analysis functions. Travel-related industry experience, particularly in aviation, is highly desirable.
