Explosive Ordnance Engineer

The Explosive Ordnance Engineer will play a critical role in supporting the development and implementation of explosive ordnance projects for the Commonwealth of Australia.
Key Responsibilities- Project Planning and Execution: Lead and mentor junior engineers in the planning, coordination, and execution of explosive ordnance project engineering activities, ensuring timely and within-budget delivery.
- Engineering Authority: Hold and exercise engineering authority on behalf of the Commonwealth of Australia, providing technical expertise and guidance to stakeholders.
- Technical Documentation: Draft and review engineering technical certification documentation, including technical certification, to ensure compliance with CASG Capability Life Cycle and CASG/EMB policies and procedures.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to ensure effective communication and collaboration throughout the project lifecycle.
- Capability Development: Support the development of future improvements, enhancements, and capabilities to systems and processes, ensuring alignment with QinetiQ's strategic objectives.
- Experience: Proven experience in explosive ordnance engineering, with a strong understanding of CASG (or similar) engineering processes, engineering management plans and documents, capability life cycle and requirements, and explosive ordnance engineering management.
- Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of explosive munitions, COMSARM, and ADF explosive ordnance inventory, as well as the ability to provide engineering input into briefs and presentations.
- Skills: Excellent stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills, with the ability to identify and mitigate engineering risks.
