About the Role

Due to ongoing growth, a communications cabling specialist is required to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience with copper and fibre optic cabling installation, maintenance, and testing, and will work in data centres, hospitals, and commercial premises across Sydney.

About you

To succeed in this role, you will need:

Key Responsibilities

  • Experience with structured cabling systems (UTP/STP)
  • Patching of switches, servers, and other ICT equipment
  • Installation of optic fibre cable (single & multimode)
  • Fault finding and testing experience
  • Splicing/ribbon splicing experience
  • Fluke testing (copper & fibre)
  • Understanding of network architecture
  • Providing excellent customer service

Requirements

  • A minimum of 3 years related communications/cabling experience
  • ACMA Open Cable Registration (Optic fibre and structured cabling endorsements) is essential
  • Vendor installer accreditations (e.g. Panduit, Siemon etc) would be highly regarded
  • Telecommunication Certificate III qualification
  • Security clearance - NV1 highly regarded
  • Construction white card
  • Data Centre experience
  • Able to work in a team environment
