The Melbourne United Basketball Academy (MUBA) is a premier junior pathway program, catering to athletes from under-12s to under-18s.

Under the guidance of expert coaching staff, participants develop fundamental skills such as ball handling, shooting technique, decision-making, individual offence and defence within a high-energy, competitive and values-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality coaching sessions focused on core fundamentals: ball handling, shooting, passing, lay-up finishing, offence, defence and decision-making.
  • Demonstrate and articulate offensive and defensive systems and playing concepts.
  • Facilitate small-sided games and gameplay that mirror NBL-style principles.
  • Provide constructive feedback to athletes and maintain a supportive, inclusive and safe environment aligned with the club's values.

Required qualifications include demonstrated experience coaching at VJBL level or higher, current Working with Children's Check (Employee) and availability to work mornings at a selected hub. Times and locations will be provided separately.
