**Job Title:** Female Support Care Workers With Well Experienced

**Job Description:

We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Assistants to support individuals with daily living activities for the Epping area. Italian speaking is an added advantage.

General duties include:

  • Meal preparation and services and domestic tasks
  • Assistance with activities of daily living
  • Provide personal care and support and assistance to individuals in their own homes
  • Supporting people with complex needs
  • Assist clients with bathing, grooming, and personal hygiene to maintain their dignity and self-esteem
  • Provide assistance with dressing, ensuring comfort and respect
  • Help clients with mobility, including transferring in and out of the shower or bathtub
  • Monitor clients' health and report any concerns to appropriate family members or healthcare professionals

  • An understanding of delivering care in a person-centered way
  • A positive, reliable, empathetic approach to support people of all ages and backgrounds living with a disability
  • Availability and reliability
  • Clear and effective communication skills and ability to speak another language is highly desirable
  • The ability to problem solve and keep strictly to the program and routine
  • Ability to engage positively with a variety of personality types
  • Ability to fulfill shift duties and have excellent time management skills
  • Have appropriate visa to work in Australia
  • Have an empathetic and understanding approach to providing care to people with complex needs including mental health
  • Must be a competent and knowledgeable cook

**Requirements:

  • Minimum of one year experience in relevant field
  • Certificate 111 or above in disability, aged care, community care with minimum 6 months work experience
  • Victorian Full drivers' license or valid Australian license
  • Current Police check within the last 12 months or willingness to obtain prior to employment
  • Working with Children Check (WWC)
  • NDIS worker screening check (NDIS-WC)
  • Smart phone with the ability to install apps
  • Current first aid/CPR certificate
  • Drivers license and own fully insured transport
  • Completion of the NDIS new worker module or willingness to complete as part of the organizations induction process
  • Manual Handling training (or willing to obtain)
  • International Police check (if applicable)
  • COVID-19 Vaccination Certificate or Immunization evidence
  • Students encouraged to apply
  • Flexibility around availability is essential in this role, with the ability to work variety of shifts
