This role is responsible for coordinating fire management programs and activities within the region, including strategic fire planning, prescribed fire, bushfire suppression, works programming, and performance management.

Under the minimal direction of the Regional Manager, you will be responsible for leading a team and collaborating with other internal and external parties to achieve our mission of promoting biodiversity, conserving ecosystems, and providing engaging attractions.

You will have significant experience in managing and leading teams, with evidence of mentoring capabilities, training staff development, safety, and welfare.

This role requires high-level interpersonal and oral communication skills, with considerable experience in effective liaison and negotiation with other internal and external parties/agencies.

You will also have substantial demonstrated experience in managing projects, including finance, administration, and risk management.
