You will work with local experts who bring attention to African environmental issues through compelling storytelling.

Develop your skills in producing, filming, and editing your own wildlife documentary set in an African game reserve.

Gain hands-on experience in camera operation, direction, production, and scriptwriting for wildlife documentaries.

Our comprehensive course provides a thorough understanding of the industry and its demands.

1. Week 1: Fundamentals of journalism, narrative writing, and ethics
2. Week 2: Rewrite and edit techniques, guided edits, and interview methods
3. Week 3: Travel writing, research, and expeditions
4. Week 4: Environmental journalism, research, and final project submission

• Explore the Garden Route Region of South Africa, visiting reserves, sanctuaries, tourism attractions, and research institutes
• Visit locations such as Plettenberg Bay, Knysna, Oudtshoorn, George, Mossel Bay, Port Elizabeth, Albertinia, Sedgefield, and Wilderness
