We are seeking a highly skilled Biostatistician to join our team. The role involves applying advanced statistical principles and methodologies to various fields, including molecular biology, biological experiments, and human studies.
The successful candidate will have a strong background in statistics and mathematics as applied to medicine and biology.
Key Responsibilities- Design and implement effective statistical models and techniques for data collection and analysis
- Organise and interpret complex quantitative data sets
- Develop comprehensive reports and analyses using statistical methodologies
- Create high-quality data visualisations to communicate results effectively
- Coordinate projects involving researchers and professionals from diverse educational backgrounds
- Doctoral degree in a quantitative discipline (e.g., Applied Mathematics, Applied Statistics, Biomedical Engineering, Bioinformatics)
- Experience with data analysis in biological or clinical contexts
- Proficient in programming languages, specifically Python and R, with additional experience in C++ being desirable
- Experience in Bash scripting is required
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail are essential
- Maintain a positive attitude toward collaboration and self-directed learning
