About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer to join our technology team supporting the Macquarie Capital Equities business, a leading provider of Algorithmic Trading services in Australia, New Zealand and the wider Asian equity markets.

As a Senior Engineer, you will demonstrate innovation when defining solutions and implementing them to completion. You will develop a deep functional and technical understanding of the existing Algo strategies and analytics to facilitate analysis of problems and opportunities for improvements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement Algorithmic Trading strategies to improve automated trading performance for our clients.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including QA, Compliance, Middle Office, and Support, to ensure seamless integration and support.
  • Provide Level 2 support for production systems and contribute to the development of technical solutions.

About You

  • Previous experience in Algorithmic Development, with a strong background in C# and/or Java in server-side development.
  • Proven experience with Agile development, TDD, Unit testing, and providing input on code existing code.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to engage with other teams.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks.
