This role represents an exciting opportunity to take on a frontline position in our Security Operations Center (SOC). As a Level 1 Security Analyst, you will play a vital part in preventing threats from compromising client networks. Your primary responsibilities include monitoring client networks for security issues 24/7, investigating security threats and breaches, and utilizing SIEM, SOAR, and Vulnerability Management platforms to protect systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • You will participate in a 24x7x365 roster and stay aware of assigned tasks and their time/cost expectations.
  • Adhere to established standards, guidelines, procedures, and policies, using approved templates and style guides for deliverables.
  • Inform the Security Operations Manager immediately of any issues or delays and suggest solutions.
  • Report factors affecting personal effectiveness to the Security Operations Manager.
  • Ensure documentation is stored properly in the Document Management System and record daily time in the Time Recording System.
  • Conduct shift handover meetings and update the Shift Handover document as required.
  • Attend team meetings and perform other tasks as directed by the Security Operations Manager.

You are expected to complete your CompTIA CySA+ certification within three months and your Security Blue Team Level 1 Certification within four months, with at least one Blue Team Online Lab per month.
