About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Lead SMP Design Drafter to join our team at Prudentia Process Consulting. As a key member of our Designer Team, you will be responsible for managing projects from conceptual design to detailed engineering, with a focus on Piping-Mechanical-Structural expertise.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the design process for projects across the Energy, Chemicals, and Mineral Processing industries.
  • Develop and implement design solutions that meet client requirements and industry standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to junior designers.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices.
Requirements
  • Minimum 10 years of industry experience in mining, minerals processing, or energy chemicals.
  • Strong understanding of relevant Australian standards.
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
  • Experience with projects from conceptual design through to detailed engineering.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD Plant 3D and other 3D modeling programs.
Desirable Skills
  • CAD administration experience.
  • Experience with piping spec creation and editing.
