Maintenance Tester

We are seeking a skilled Asphalt Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for carrying out coring of asphalt, sand patch testing and straight edge testing, as well as aggregate sampling from quarries when needed.

Key Responsibilities:

• Carry out a wide range of testing for construction materials such as asphalt and aggregates
• Undertake testing results analysis and interpretation
• Carry out equipment calibrations
• Setting up and maintaining of equipment
• Assist the technical team

Requirements:

• Proven success in a technical or laboratory environment
• Ability to work flexible hours including night shift and weekends as required
• Ability to work under pressure and problem solve
• Certificate IV in Laboratory Techniques preferred, but not essential
• Have knowledge of laboratory set up & calibration requirements preferred, but not essential
• 2 years' experience in Construction Materials Testing or similar field preferred, but not essential
• Excellent Health and Safety behaviours
• Strong literacy and numeracy skills (written & verbal) with excellent attention to detail
• A valid driver's license
• An ability to take ownership and manage your own area of responsibility without close supervision
