At Rio Tinto, we are looking for a talented Maintenance Supervisor to join our team at Dampier Ports. This exciting opportunity will see you leading a highly skilled mechanical maintenance team, delivering shutdown planned preventative maintenance and contributing to the success of our port facilities.

The role involves supervising a team to execute work as planned, on time, to deliver availability and reliability to Port assets. You will be responsible for communicating and liaising with the team of mechanical maintainers, superintendent, planners, electrical teams, and contractors. Additionally, you will provide support regarding HSEQ workplace policies, procedures, and critical risk monitoring.

We are seeking an experienced leader who can inspire and motivate their team to achieve exceptional results. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in leadership roles, managing dynamic teams, and a current WA 'Class' Drivers licence. A current or eligibility to obtain a MSIC is also essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leading a team to execute work as planned, on time, to deliver availability and reliability to Port assets
  • Communicating and liaising with the team of mechanical maintainers, superintendent, planners, electrical teams, and contractors
  • Providing support regarding HSEQ workplace policies, procedures, and critical risk monitoring
  • Developing and implementing training programs to enhance team skills and productivity
  • Contributing to continuous improvement projects to improve cost savings, reliability, and production efficiency

Requirements:

  • Experience in leadership roles managing dynamic teams
  • Current WA 'Class' Drivers licence
  • Current or eligibility to obtain a MSIC
  • Proactive approach with a strong commitment to driving a safe working culture
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and organisational skills
  • Experience in Asset Management processes and practices (SAP, work management)

Estimated Salary: $120,000 - $150,000 per annum, dependent on experience.
