We are seeking an experienced equine professional to join our team.

The position is a full-time opportunity, requiring 38 hours of work per week, with various duties including:

- Demonstrated knowledge and experience in horse training and handling methods specific to thoroughbred racing;
- Proven ability to train and educate young and older horses;
- Effective oral and written communication skills to take instruction and provide information to other staff members and owners;
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and independently;
- Sound knowledge of safe operation of all equipment and use of personal protective equipment;
- Knowledge of health and safety obligations and demonstrated skills in safe operation of equipment relevant to the training and preparation of racehorses on riding pace/timed work and jump outs;
- Ability to educate young horses on the ground, plus swimming and barrier education;
- Ability to manage a small team of horses and staff under the direction of the head foreperson.

Required Skills and Qualifications

- At least three years of relevant experience in horse training/management is essential.
