Special Education Assistant Role

At a leading educational institution, we are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Special Education Assistant to support students with diverse needs.

This rewarding role will provide you with the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of children by assisting them in their educational journey. You will work closely with educators to implement individualized plans and develop strategies to enhance student learning outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with programs and activities designed to meet the unique needs of students
  • Support students with positive behaviour support and community access initiatives
  • Help integrate students into less restrictive settings
  • Ensure the welfare and safety of pupils in the classroom, playground, and during school activities

Requirements:

  • Experience working with students with special needs is highly desirable
  • Certificate III in Education Support or other relevant qualification is preferred
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
  • First Aid Certificate and Working with Vulnerable People Check are required
