About The Role

We are seeking an experienced iOS Engineer to join our mobile development team.

This project involves partnering with a major Australian health provider to build high-performing mobile applications.

The successful candidate will combine technical innovation with elegant design to deliver scalable solutions that drive real outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain iOS applications using Swift, UIKit, and SwiftUI.
  • Ensure compliance with Apple Human Interface Guidelines (HIGs) and accessibility standards.
  • Deliver high-quality, scalable, and maintainable mobile solutions aligned with business requirements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver seamless and intuitive iOS experiences.
  • Translate user and business requirements into clear technical solutions.
  • Implement and maintain automated unit and UI testing frameworks.
  • Participate in code reviews, troubleshooting, and knowledge-sharing activities.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation to support ongoing development and support.
  • Follow change control, version control, and configuration management best practices.
  • Assist in testing phases including system, integration, and UAT.
  • Stay current with iOS development trends, tools, and platform updates.
  • Ensure compliance with information security standards and internal policies.
  • Support the business with PHI compliance obligations and frameworks.
  • Identify and communicate any compliance-impacting changes in your area of work.
  • Contribute to post-implementation reviews and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Maintain a strong focus on user experience, performance, and reliability.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in iOS app development with strong skills in Swift, UIKit, and SwiftUI.
  • Solid understanding of Apple UX principles and HIGs.
  • Experience working with RESTful APIs, version control systems (GIT), and documentation tools (Jira, Confluence).
  • Demonstrated capability in test-driven development (TDD), CI/CD, and building high-quality, scalable solutions.
  • Strong understanding of accessibility standards and inclusive design.
  • Experience in agile methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban.
  • Familiarity with compliance and regulatory requirements, particularly in regulated environments such as healthcare or finance.
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment.
  • Ability to manage and escalate risks or issues in a timely and appropriate manner.
