Job Title: Project Engineer - Electrical

Job Summary:

ACCIONA is a global leader in the development, construction, and operation of renewable energy projects and infrastructure solutions. We are seeking a highly skilled Project Engineer - Electrical to join our M&E team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the planning, execution, and delivery of electrical engineering aspects for renewable energy and transmission line projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the end-to-end delivery of electrical engineering aspects for renewable energy and transmission line projects, from safety documentation to procurement and construction budgeting.
  • Manage internal and external resources, liaising with cross-functional teams to ensure project objectives are met.
  • Oversee tender development and submission, ensuring compliance with technical and financial requirements.
  • Monitor project progress, focusing on cost control, time management, scope, and quality.
  • Provide technical, safety, and quality support to ensure compliance with HSEQ standards throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Act as a mentor for junior engineers, providing guidance, motivation, and professional development.
  • Coordinate subcontractors, ensuring their capacity to meet project deadlines and compliance with safety standards.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate reports on project performance, including weekly and monthly updates to senior management.
  • Ensure that quality management systems are implemented and adhered to, including inspection and test plans, as-built documentation, and defect remediation.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
  • 5+ years of experience in electrical project engineering, ideally within the renewable energy and transmission line sectors.
  • Proven experience with tender processes, including the origination and delivery of large-scale renewable energy projects.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage budgets, contracts, and schedules effectively.
  • Strong understanding of HSEQ standards and construction safety regulations.
  • Proficiency in project management software and MS Office, with experience in cost control systems.
  • Ability to lead, communicate, and collaborate across multiple teams and external stakeholders.
  • Construction Induction Training (White Card), First Aid certification, and a valid Driver's License.
