The Role
Reporting to the Group Marketing Manager and Creative Director, we are seeking an exceptional leader to spearhead our design team and assume Art Director responsibilities.
- You will collaborate with team members to ensure seamless production of marketing collateral, provide coaching, mentoring, and guidance to your team of graphic designers.
- Assist the Creative Director and Marketing Team in executing the group's advertising and marketing material, while ensuring the company's brand positioning and integrity are maintained.
- Plan, manage, and execute on-location photoshoots, both in our internal photography studio and on location.
Key Responsibilities
- Effectively manage and develop the design team, providing guidance and support to grow their skillset.
- Assist team members in understanding briefs, provide advice and clarification when required.
- Provide key sign-off on all design material and projects, ensuring that all work is correct, accurate, and meets the highest standard possible, while adequately reflecting the brand's style guide.
- Investigate and implement better and more efficient systems and processes for the design team, including managing external suppliers.
- Manage and run weekly WIP meetings to provide feedback on progress of work.
- Work on design projects for the whole Beacon Lighting Group, ensuring that our brand positioning and style guidelines are met.
- Ensure all brand style guides are reviewed, developed when appropriate, and kept up to date.
- Liaise with external print/production suppliers to ensure correct specifications are gained before forwarding artwork.
- Manage and maintain accurate image library, ensuring all images are correctly filed for all designers and relevant departments to access.
- Oversee project execution from creative concept development to delivery, including pre-production planning, on-location photoshoots, post-production edits, liaising with the relevant suppliers and internal stakeholders, and ensuring all projects are completed within agreed deadlines.
- Ensure the studio, sets, props, and equipment are well-maintained and organized.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Diploma/Degree in graphic design or finished art and/or relevant qualifications or experience and competency in graphic design/finished art, art direction, and/or creative direction.
- A minimum of 5 years previous industry experience in a similar role is desirable.
- Proficiency working with Mac OS.
- Advanced Adobe Creative Suite Skills, particularly In-Design, Photoshop, Illustrator.
