About Our Cyber Security Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Cyber Security Expert to protect our financial and information assets by designing, implementing and managing cyber security infrastructure, toolsets & rulesets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, Implement, Manage Cyber Security Infrastructure:
    • Develop and maintain secure systems, including cloud security, firewalls, SIEM, application control, PAM, email security etc.
  • Support and Maintain Uplift Activities:
    • Provide advice on enhancement activities, including ACSC's Essential Eight.
  • Review and Improve Security Configurations:
    • Analyze existing configurations and recommend improvements.
  • Produce Security Documentation:
    • Create plans, procedures and guidelines on tooling and processes.
  • Assess Emerging Cyber Security Suppliers and Technologies:
    • Evaluate relevance of new technologies.
  • Contribute to Security Team Responsibilities:
    • Support team in meeting overall responsibilities.
  • Cyber Security Incident Response:
    • Assist with incident response, investigations and remediations.
  • Security Threat and Risk Assessments:
    • Participate in threat and risk assessments.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Cyber Security or Computer Science or equivalent work experience.
  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft Defender and Intune.
  • Extensive experience in cybersecurity areas including Cloud security, SIEM, application control, PAM, email security, network security etc.
  • Knowledge of security frameworks and best practices for cloud services particularly AWS and Azure security configuration.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of industry good practices such as OWASP, PCI DSS, ISO27001/2, ASD E8, NIST CSF.
  • Excellent interpersonal, liaison and negotiation skills.
