Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and qualified Mechanical Fitter & Turner to join our maintenance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all machinery and equipment is running efficiently and effectively, with minimal downtime.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintaining plant and machinery to maximise throughput and efficiency
  • Completing work orders with little or no impact on production schedules
  • Maintaining detailed work history through our maintenance management system
  • Ensuring planned maintenance and project work runs smoothly
  • Identifying and rectifying faults under pressure
  • Performing general cleaning and housekeeping tasks
  • Communicating with colleagues and management
  • Collaborating with the maintenance manager and planner to ensure safety-related issues are addressed

About You

To succeed in this role, you should have:

  • A trade qualification in mechanical fitting and turning
  • Sound knowledge of maintenance, engineering, and production processes within FMCG manufacturing
  • A strong focus on safety and adherence to procedures
  • Excellent communication skills
  • The ability to multitask and manage multiple responsibilities
  • A passion for continuous improvement
