Role Overview

This role offers a unique opportunity to make a meaningful difference in people's lives as an Employment Coach at SYC in Frankston.

You will be part of a supportive team who are dedicated to delivering high-quality employment services, working towards our vision of well-being, independence, and opportunity for all.

Key Responsibilities
  • Career Coaching: Provide one-to-one coaching sessions to participants, assessing their career needs and creating personalised action plans.
  • Career Assessments: Conduct assessments to identify participants' strengths, interests, and values to guide their employment goals.
  • Sales Strategies: Collaborate with community organisations to create opportunities for participants using sales strategies.
  • Job Search Support: Assist participants in developing effective job search strategies, including resume writing and interview preparation.
  • Training and Referral: Refer participants through training, counselling, and other services to increase long-term employment outcomes.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Experience in Customer Service: Have experience in customer-facing or administrative roles.
  • Time Management and Organisation: Possess strong time management and organisational skills, with the ability to meet deadlines and achieve KPI targets.
  • Excellent Communication Skills: Develop excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to conduct client assessments, develop case plans, and maintain accurate records.
  • Conflict Resolution and Negotiation: Demonstrate interpersonal conflict resolution and negotiation skills, with the ability to identify innovative solutions to problems.
  • Relationship Building: Develop relationships with employers and stakeholders to support participants' employment goals.
  • Computer Literacy: Possess excellent computer skills, including proficiency in software applications relevant to the role.
