About the Role

The Department of Home Affairs is seeking a highly skilled Senior Web Publisher to join our team. As a key member of our Web Operations, Development & Enhancements Section, you will be responsible for managing a small team of web publishers and overseeing the publication of content to our web estate.

Key Responsibilities
  • Publishing content within our SharePoint and GovCMS content management systems, ensuring compliance with web governance and accessibility standards.
  • Engaging with senior executives, business areas, and subject matter experts to facilitate publishing requests and identify digital solutions that meet business needs and outcomes.
  • Managing a small team of web publishers, including training, reviewing work, and providing feedback and coaching.
  • Providing support to the management team by assisting with the implementation of digital management solutions and other resources for staff.
  • Preparing and submitting written updates for internal briefings regarding web publishing matters.
Requirements
  • Australian citizenship.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Baseline Vetting (AGSVA) security clearance and an Employment Suitability Clearance (ESC).
  • Strong critical thinking skills, attention to detail, and ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and provide support to colleagues.
