Job Title: Software Asset Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Software Asset Manager to play a pivotal role in driving business partner-centric operational models.

About the Role:

This position is responsible for advising stakeholders on selecting and implementing approved solutions that meet operational needs while minimising risk through robust asset and financial management.

  • Partner with Service Owners to track, facilitate, and optimise software and hardware contract renewals.
  • Advise on solutions to meet business requirements while ensuring procurement of only approved products.
  • Validate asset usage, meet financial requirements, and monitor lifecycle stages including End-of-Life, version management, and fleet size.
  • Work with technology teams to design and execute transition strategies for assets and contractual arrangements.
  • Identify licensing risks, non-compliance, and mitigation strategies through strong control mechanisms.
  • Ensure all standards, processes, and reporting meet internal and external regulatory requirements.
Key Skills and Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in software asset management, including direct dealings with software vendors (financial services experience desirable).
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and consultative skills.
  • Expertise in software and hardware asset management principles.
  • Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships across all levels.
  • Understanding of operating environments, core applications, and products in a corporate setting (desirable).
