Disability Support Worker
About the Role:This position is responsible for providing support to individuals with a disability under the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS). The Disability Support Worker will assist individuals in achieving their goals, encourage them to live independently, and help them maintain positive relationships with families and significant others.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide individualised support to participants with complex needs, dual diagnosis, and challenging behaviours.
- Help participants develop independent living skills, including healthy meal preparation, domestic chores, and day-to-day household management.
- Support participants in maintaining positive relationships with families and significant others.
- Follow participants' Individual Support Plans, Behaviour Support Plans, and Health Care Plans.
- Record participant progress accurately and provide regular updates as required.
- Certificate III or higher in Disability, Community Services, Individual Support, or similar – or considerable sector experience and willingness to obtain qualification.
- First Aid, WWCC, driving licence, and comprehensive car insurance are essential requirements.
The Disability Support Worker will have the opportunity to work on a casual rostered basis, with flexible availability for a range of shifts across a 24/7 roster. This includes active shifts and weekends.
