Arboricultural Team Member

We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic team member to join our arboriculture team in Melbourne. As an Arboricultural Team Member, you will be responsible for caring for and maintaining Wyndham's valuable tree assets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain trees and parks to council standards.
  • Operate plant and equipment such as chippers, EWP, chainsaws, and water tankers.
  • Undertake relevant training as required.
  • Respond to emergencies such as wind events or bush fires.
  • Perform formative pruning of young trees and watering/mulching tasks.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Arboriculture Certificate 3 (AQF Level 3) with Chainsaw operators' certificate (Level 1/2).
  • Certificate II ESI with HLTAID001 - CPR, UETTDRRF10B-First Aid in an ESI environment, UETTDRRF03B - Perform EWP rescue, UETTDRRF08B - Perform EWP controlled descent.
  • Traffic Management Training including RIIWHS205D - Control Traffic with stop/slow bat, RIIWHS302D - Implement traffic management plan.
  • Current Victorian Drivers licence including Truck licence (above 15T) and trailer.
  • License to perform High Risk Work: EWP > 11meters.
  • Experience in the use of arboriculture plant and equipment.
