Mental Health Nurse Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Mental Health Nurse to join our team at Healthcare Australia. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will play a crucial role in establishing a Mental Health Framework for patients in a health centre environment.
Key Responsibilities- Collaborate with clinical leadership, psychiatrists, psychologists, and other mental health professionals to develop evidence-based clinical pathways and guidelines for the treatment and management of common mental health conditions.
- Act as a key liaison between the clinical team and the Information and Communication Technology (ICT) team for the development and enhancement of the electronic Medical Record System (eMRS).
- Provide training and education sessions to staff members within the centre on topics related to mental health awareness, suicide prevention, trauma-informed care, and other relevant subjects.
- Bachelor of Nursing with post-graduate qualifications in Mental Health Nursing.
- Current unconditional AHPRA registration.
- Min 5 years of clinical experience working in Mental health preferably in a forensic setting.
- Strong understanding of mental health assessment tools, diagnostic criteria, and evidence-based treatment modalities.
- Experience with electronic medical record systems, preferably in a healthcare setting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
- Demonstrated ability to write clinical policies and procedures.
