Rio Tinto is seeking an experienced Warehouse Officer to join our Weipa operations in Far North Queensland. This permanent position offers a competitive base salary of $120,000 - $150,000 per annum, reflective of your skills and experience.

About the Role

As a Warehouse Officer, you will be responsible for undertaking warehouse duties efficiently and effectively at our Weipa, Amrun Mine operation. You will work in a diverse team, reporting to the Warehouse Supervisor, and be accountable for:

  • Unloading inbound delivery trucks and vessels, loading outbound trucks with accurate recording of documentation;
  • Completing timely and accurate receipting, sorting, and stacking of goods;
  • Identifying and eliminating waste, including over servicing, over stocking, incorrect fulfillment, packaging, and handling;
  • Conducting accurate stock take counts, investigating and documenting any discrepancies;
  • Completing Semi-Trailer, Body truck, and Van deliveries to 3 mine sites to schedule.

The successful candidate will have a commitment to safety, HR and forklift licenses, prior experience working in a warehouse site operation, good problem-solving skills, and time management capabilities. Knowledge of SAP, particularly the Warehousing module, would be beneficial.
