This position requires a Project Manager to oversee and manage construction activities, ensuring compliance with safety, environmental, quality, financial, and program requirements. You will work closely with contractors, stakeholders, and project management to ensure successful project delivery.
- Lead a team of engineers to deliver projects according to quality, safety, environmental, and budget requirements
- Monitor project progress and construction performance against plans and contracts
- Manage contractor communications, claims, variations, and extensions of time
- Ensure adherence to contract specifications, approvals, and legislative requirements
- Assist with risk and issues management and participate in project audits and quality reviews
- Maintain effective document control and reporting systems
- Provide technical advice on construction methods, traffic control, work programs, and compliance
The ideal candidate should possess excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders and priorities. They must be able to maintain accurate records, collaborate with colleagues, and adhere to strict deadlines.
Key Requirements:- Degree qualification in engineering or a related field
- Proven experience as a Project Engineer in large civil infrastructure projects, preferably in transport or road construction
- Experience with government procurement processes, ideally involving TfNSW
- Competence in project planning and scheduling software (Microsoft Project, Primavera P6)
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively under pressure and meet deadlines
