About the Opportunity

The Key Initiative Leader will support various projects related to the Sovereign Shipbuilding Talent Pool (SSTP), including developing and managing scopes of work and supporting the delivery of projects from conception through to completion. This role is a Permanent full-time opportunity based in Osborne, SA.

Responsibilities
  • Negotiate, establish, and implement project plans to deliver workforce development programs and facilitate workforce growth for current and future programs.
  • Establish project schedules and cost baselines in accordance with project plans.
  • Perform project management activities as it relates to assigned projects under the Management Services Agreement.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules and PMBs consistent with scope, cost, and duration in accordance with project plans.
  • Engage with key stakeholders across ASC and the Submarine Enterprise to develop and understand demands and opportunities for SSTP placements.
  • Manage day-to-day activities necessary to complete assigned projects or elements of projects in accordance with cost and schedule baselines.
Skills & Experiences
  • A minimum of five years' experience in complex project environments as a project manager or equivalent role.
  • Tertiary qualifications in workforce development or project management disciplines or equivalent experience in systems engineering, naval construction, or complex asset management/development environments.
  • Demonstrable practical knowledge of scheduling, Earned Value Management, financial, stakeholder, and personnel management applicable to complex project environments.
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills.
  • Excellent negotiation and persuasion skills.
  • Membership of the AIPM or equivalent is desirable.
Compensation and Benefits
