Project Overview

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Structural Engineer to join our team in Mackay. The successful candidate will be responsible for undertaking structural design, including computer-based analysis of mining, marine and transport infrastructure structures with concrete and steelwork.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Undertake structural design calculations and perform computer-based analysis of mining, marine and transport infrastructure structures.
  • Work on critical projects with a focus on safety and quality.
  • Act as client contact for specific projects.
  • Conduct condition assessments, audits and surveys.
  • Liaise with staff members in other offices.

Requirements

To be considered for this position, you will need:

  • A Bachelor Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering.
  • At least 8 years' experience working on construction projects within the mining, marine and transport infrastructure sectors.
  • Advanced knowledge and experience in using structural analysis software packages such as SpaceGas and Strand7.
  • Sound knowledge and experience in structural design, analysis, client/stakeholder management and project delivery.
  • Understanding and/or experience on major construction projects.
  • Highly developed communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills.
  • Current residing in Australia and unrestricted working rights.
  • Fluent written and spoken English to a professional level.
