Our team delivers this program in various locations across Australia, working closely with service partners to ensure its success.

This role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of Defence personnel. As a DAP Support Professional, you will be responsible for:

  • Ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and Defence policies and procedures
  • Drafting objective case notes to track individual growth and organisational progress
  • Providing supervision, training, and support to a team of DAP employees
  • Identifying tasks for each support activity and managing timeframes for delivery of services
  • Scheduling DAP Team workloads daily to ensure administrative requirements are met on time
  • Consulting with Defence personnel, setting quality control standards, and ensuring they are maintained
  • Facilitating the integration of DAP employees into Defence workplaces
  • Notifying the National Program Manager of any closures or reduced staffing due to absences
  • Participating in on-the-job training and meetings, and complying with Endeavour Foundation's and Defence policies and procedures

You will bring:

  • A positive attitude and ability to remain calm under pressure
  • Experience working with people with disabilities, preferably in an employment setting
  • Demonstrated experience in coaching individuals and delivering learning opportunities, preferably for those with disabilities
  • Skills and knowledge associated with working within a positive behaviour support framework
  • Interpersonal and strong communication skills required to develop relationships with team members and stakeholders, as well as dealing with sensitive issues
  • Conflict management and negotiation skills
  • A current First Aid and CPR certificate
  • A current Class C Drivers Licence
  • A Certificate III or IV in Community Services - Disability Work or Aged Care (desirable)
  • The ability to obtain a Baseline Security Clearance from the Australian Government & Security Vetting Agency (must be an Australian citizen)
  • Proficiency in using current MS Office software and communication technologies

Estimated salary: AU$65,000 - AU$90,000 per annum, depending on location and experience. We offer:
