About the Role:
The Coal Handling Coordinator will play a crucial role in the efficient operation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of the Coal Handling and Preparation Plant (CHPP) at Blackwater Mine. This position requires strong communication skills, the ability to work as a team, and in-depth knowledge of CHPP operations and dedication to Safety.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and schedule rail movements daily in conjunction with port logistics teams to ensure customer quality expectations are met.
- Oversee laboratory daily activities to ensure correct data is reported on coal parameters.
- Liaise with site mine planning teams and CHPP metallurgists to ensure forecasted coal production targets are met with an emphasis on coal quality and productivity.
- Coordinate equipment upgrades and preventative maintenance on laboratory equipment.
- Plan, execute, and oversee the successful completion of projects within the department.
- Implement process improvements and modifications to the CHPP and Laboratory.
- Enter and Teco of SAP notifications.
- Schedule deliveries from external vendors for parts and consumables.
- Maintain data integrity in Ampla and Corvus.
- Participate in Field Leadership.
- Foster positive and productive working relationships and team culture.
- Lead and support continuous improvement opportunities.
- Accruals and cost reporting on department.
- In-depth knowledge of CHPP and Laboratory operations and dedication to Safety.
Requirements:
- Experience: Experience in a similar position including coal handling and preparation plant operations.
- Skills: Strong communication skills and the ability to work as a team.
- Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of CHPP operations and dedication to Safety.
