Security Lead Roles

We are seeking highly skilled professionals to fill multiple Security Lead positions within our organisation.

The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership and management skills, as well as experience in security and/or a Defence Industry role. They will also have sound knowledge of the Defence Security Principles Framework (DSPF) and be able to inform and understand company policy and procedures.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement security processes guidelines in support of policy and standards requirements.
  • Supervise all aspects of operational security for the business area in line with local security strategy, policies, standards and best practice.
  • Review and improve frameworks and functional processes aimed at developing and enhancing best practices and integrating efficient security solutions for the security environment.
  • Manage security risk assessments and mitigation strategies in line with company standards and policy, as well as coordinating with defence contractor owners as needed.
  • Support and manage the security incident process, ensuring the reporting meets mandated timelines with coordinated security investigations.
  • Manage, develop and support a team of security professionals.
  • Support and manage operational security compliance activities.
  • Manage security tasks and services based on relevant policies, standards, procedures, legislation and best practice of the assigned work stream.
Requirements
  • Australian citizen, eligible to obtain and maintain a Negative Vetting Level 2 Defence Security & ITAR clearance required.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong leadership and management skills.
  • Strong experience in all Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
  • Demonstrated experience in security and/or a Defence Industry role, including sound knowledge of the DSPF, and the ability to inform and understand company policy and procedures.
  • Ability to demonstrate understanding and experience in relation to the implementation of security policy and process.
  • Working knowledge of Cyber Security Policy and standards.
  • Sound knowledge of Physical, Personnel and Information Security.
  • Must hold or be able to gain a current Department of Defence Certificate in Security Officer Training.
  • Sound knowledge in handling of physical assets and document security in relation to classified projects.
  • Completion of the Commonwealth COMSEC course would be desirable.
