Renewable Energy Project Specialist

RES is a global leader in renewable energy, seeking an experienced project specialist to drive value and manage technical risks across all phases of our projects. The ideal candidate will have expertise in electrical power system analysis and design.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement complex power system models for wind farms, solar PV farms, energy storage systems, and hybrid generation projects.
  • Design control algorithms and solutions for network characteristics and performance requirements.
  • Perform electrical design studies, including load flow, short circuit, voltage profile, and system losses.
  • Conduct specialized power system analyses, including harmonic analysis and insulation coordination.
  • Lead grid compliance studies, such as voltage control, frequency response, and fault ride-through.
  • Produce high-quality reports and presentations, providing technical recommendations based on simulation results.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • PhD or Degree in Electrical Engineering, Power System Engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • Expertise in electrical studies using Digsilent, PSS/E, PSCAD, MATLAB/Simulink.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to interpret complex technical documentation.
  • Ability to define requirements with the customer and deliver to scope, budget, and program.
  • Awareness of the commercial impact of electrical analysis on project value and risk.
  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent tasks from multiple projects and clients.
