Senior Civil Engineer Position

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Civil Engineer to join our team in Brisbane office. As a Senior Civil Engineer, you will be responsible for tackling complex challenges in the built environment and delivering innovative, sustainable solutions for accessible, resilient, and liveable communities.

In this role, you will work on iconic projects, manage ongoing communication with local clients, ascertain specifications and evolving client requirements, proactively determine, manage, monitor and control scope of works, ensure timely and quality delivery for project and civil engineering work, manage effective stakeholder relationships, provide sound technical/delivery guidance for the team, and mentor, train and develop junior engineers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Work on iconic projects to deliver innovative, sustainable solutions
  • Manage ongoing communication with local clients to ensure effective relationships
  • Ascertain specifications and evolving client requirements to meet their needs
  • Proactively determine, manage, monitor and control scope of works to ensure timely delivery
  • Ensure timely and quality delivery for project and civil engineering work
  • Manage effective stakeholder relationships to maintain trust and confidence
  • Provide sound technical/delivery guidance for the team to enhance performance
  • Mentor, train and develop junior engineers to build their skills and expertise
Requirements:
  • Bachelor to Masters' level degree (Civil Engineering)
  • Chartered status with Engineers Australia (desirable)
  • Excellent expertise in civil engineering and design documentation
  • Solid industry experience on Australian civil engineering projects
  • High level of expertise in delivering multiple projects
  • Sound client facing and account/relationship management skills
  • Excellent project management skills
  • Highly developed customer-focus, leadership, teamwork, interpersonal and communication skills
