Job Role:

As a Specialist Child Safeguarder, you will be working within a collaborative service model to identify and mitigate risks to children and young people.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough assessments to address safety and risk concerns for vulnerable populations.
  • Engage in child-centered practice that acknowledges and respects diverse cultural backgrounds and contexts.
  • Source timely and accurate information to inform evidence-based decisions prioritizing child safety and wellbeing.
  • Model best practices in casework that is responsive to evolving needs of children, young people, and families.

Requirements:
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in frontline statutory child protection services or investigation services.
  • Desirable: Completed or nearing completion of a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Social Work, Social Science, or Welfare, accompanied by relevant practical experience.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with ability to build strong working relationships.
