Senior Counsellor

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Counsellor to join our team at the Department of Health Tasmania. As a Senior Counsellor, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality alcohol and other drug treatment services to our clients.

• Deliver evidence-based alcohol and other drug treatment services to clients, including assessments, treatment, and case management.
• Provide specialist clinical assessments and treatment services for clients with complex needs, including co-morbid alcohol and other drug and mental health issues.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive care to clients.
• Act as a consultant to other agencies on alcohol and other drug issues and promote community awareness.

• Registered with the Occupational Therapy Board of Australia, or a degree in Social Work giving eligibility for membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers, or registered with the Psychology Board of Australia.
• Current Working with Children Registration.
• Desirable: holds or is working towards a relevant tertiary qualification in alcohol and other drugs, and a current Driver's Licence.

• A permanent full-time day worker position working 76 hours per fortnight.
• A salary of $106,966 - $118,114 per annum, plus 11% superannuation contribution.
