The Laboratory Technician Role

This key position involves sampling and analysis to meet laboratory requirements. It also includes support to our Water and Wastewater team as well as other departments within our organization.

  • Performing chemical and microbiological analysis of water and wastewater samples
  • Collecting samples, including preservation and pre-treatment when necessary
  • Maintaining NATA ISO 17025 accreditation by performing all work according to the laboratory quality system
  • Data entry and reporting of results
  • Equipment and instrument validation, calibration, and maintenance

Qualifications & Experience
  • Certificate IV in Laboratory Techniques or equivalent work experience
  • Class C (standard) Driver's Licence (compulsory to hold and maintain)
  • Relevant experience in a similar role at a NATA accredited laboratory

Based on a 35 hour week, with actual days and times being Monday to Friday, 7:30am to 4:00pm, with an RDO in accordance with our organization's RDO guidelines.
